About North Fork Malheur Campground

Near the [Wild and Scenic North Fork Malheur River](http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/malheur/recarea/?recid=39902), fishing for Rainbow Trout is popular. Within 1/2 of a mile of the campsite is the [North Fork Malheur Trailhead.](http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/malheur/recarea/?recid=40134) The area is an excellent base camp for hunters, hikers or anyone just looking for a quiet get away. The road in to this area is quite rough and becomes very muddy after periods of rain.
